Playmakers club is a new Arizona sports league holding kickball, volleyball and flag football games in Tempe/Phoenix/Chandler.
Highly recommend. Super fun, and social leagues, but has competitive aspects to it too. They even hold practices to help teach players!

Rachel

I have known the owners for 3+ years, very professional and down to Earth. With years of experience in organized sports and playing in multiple leagues around the Phoenix Arizona area, they are the right people to sign up and play under.

Awesome Adult coed kickball and sports league in Arizona! Super well organized and fun! They even have a bunch of perks for players like 1st place team cash prizes and sponsors that give you free stuff! Great social environment with teams that meet up after the games at a local bar. Great way to meet new people or get together with your friends for a break during the week! I’ve played in other leagues in AZ that left a lot to be desired. This one definitely answers the need for a well organized, fun bunting league! You can tell that the organizers really care about what they are providing for the community!

Desiree

PMC is the best rec sports league there is! The owners and players are so friendly and welcoming. Their kickball league is a great opportunity to meet new friends and have fun while engaging in friendly competition— they even hold practices for players to learn and improve! I would definitely recommend joining!

Please bare with me, there is a lot of information here, but I promise I have a point to all of this.

For the longest time, I believed I peaked as an athlete when I was 9. I still remember that moment of realization like it was yesterday. It was a Tuesday and raining outside, so gym class would be inside. This left the activity for the day a complete mystery. Something about moving things inside encouraged our gym teacher to go off the curriculum (does gym even have a lesson plan??) and do some weird things. We'd break out the parachute or the little carts that had no function beyond rolling over a finger, whether yours or a classmate's.

Let me pump the breaks here for a second. I realize I have dated myself a bit. So from here on out, I will refer to gym as Physical Education or P.E. I meant no disrespect to those P.E. Eductors shaping our young people.

So we filed into the gymnasium in our single file line because we were obedient children (teachers still touched students back in my day.). Dropped our trapper keepers on the bleachers and lined up on the baseline. We see the bases laid out. This meant one of two things for the class, Wiffleball or Kickball. For me, it simply meant victory.

It didn't matter to me, I knew I would rule the period, it would be utter domination. The thing is, I was the biggest kid in the class. I was also the only 9-year-old with leg hair. So puberty hit me a bit younger than most. What I didn't know at the time was this was it for me, I was done growing. Sure later in life, I would go on lying about my height on my driver's license and on dating apps, but that didn't change the fact that I was and had been 5'8 3/4" since I was 108 months old.

As fate would have it, my classmates would have to get demolished in kickball this rainy afternoon. I kicked home runs with ease and caught every fly ball that came my way, even ones that I should have let others catch I took. I even rolled a few strikeouts. Winning was the only thing scribbled in the class planner today.

The girls cheered and smiled with every play, while the boys drooled with jealousy with each play I made. I signed a few book covers on my way to the water fountain and strutted my way to social studies. I was a king that day.

Fast forward roughly 63.75 years

My wonderful friend Nick invited me to join his Kickball team as part of the PlayMakers Club's inaugural season. It was like third grade all over again!

I was reluctant at first. I was playing in another kickball league, and honestly, it was underwhelming. It just wasn't run very well. The rules were inconsistently enforced, the balance of talent was unreal, and the prices constantly went up without much justification.

But Nick sold me on it. "I could use another bunter on the team!' he said with the same smile I've seen him use on girls at the bar. He knew he had me! Little did I know that our team would have made the Bad News Bears look like a team of professionals. What Nick failed to convey to me was that the majority of the members of our group had never played kickball before.

The team at PlayMakers Club realized this and took action almost immediately. First, they scheduled some practices to which they showed up and introduced the virgins to the basics. Also, you can find Cheyenne & Eric giving pointers and practicing with players each week before and in between games.

They've also created rules that stop super teams from dominating the league season after season. This keeps the entire league fun, competitive, and welcoming for new players.

While I'll never relive those younger years of dominance, PlayMakers Club has helped me balance my need for competition and being social.

Highly recommend PlayMakers Club to anyone!!

PMC is new locally run sports league that not only combines competition with fun but also has multiple sports to choose from. The owners do more for their players than any sport league I’ve ever played in. They even sponsor fun events outside of league play! Other leagues charge more so I also appreciate getting more bang for my buck!

Errol

Such a great new league to come out and play with friends and meet new people! It is extremely organized, has league sponsors, and post bar specials. Definitely an enjoyable time each week, and excited for more to come!

This was a hidden gem! Looked up PMC online and was really impressed with how organized their website was. Navigating around was easy, and I got to check out cool photos and videos of their leagues playing kickball and flag football. That was cool to see. Honestly, it made me want to try out kickball, meet people, and see what I could do. Had an awesome experience, and I am looking forward to seeing how far their community can go!

Erik

I had been back and forth looking for a good quality league in Arizona to play kickball with. Don’t play with the chums at the other leagues; PMC is where it’s at! Such good camaraderie! And that’s really all you can ask for. AND FUN
