Are there any winning incentives?

Yes! There is a cash prize every season for the championship team of all our co-ed kickball and co-ed flag football leagues. Cash prizes are dependent on the number of teams that sign up per season. Each team that registers equates to $100 in prize money. For example, ten (10) teams in a league would equate to a $1,000 cash prize for that respective season’s champion.

What is Playmakers Club Foundation?

PlayMakers Club (PMC) Foundation is an exclusively educational and charitable non-profit organization in Arizona dedicated to promoting Arizona sports and healthy lifestyles while uniting communities. PMC Foundation hosts Arizona sports leagues that include co-ed kickball and women’s and co-ed flag football. Our platform is built and tailored to welcoming and giving back to the current, existing and new, incoming players that fuel our Arizona sports community. PMC Foundation diligently works to fundraise and invest its resources/funds into each of its leagues and players within to create the best overall experience.

What if I am a rookie and have never played before?

Don't sweat it! PMC is dedicated to growing players in the community irrespective of skillset and play experience. As part of our mission, we host practices to help teach the game and go through practice reps (for all players interested). We have a refs meeting (where anyone is welcomed) at the beginning of seasons to explain rules while off the field. We also introduce you to many experienced players in the Arizona sports community that are happy to meet and provide you any guidance you want.

You are sponsored? What does that mean?

We are sponsored by some of the greatest organizations in the Greater Phoenix Area: Camelback Wealth Consultants, The 44 Sports Grill & Nightlife, NOCCO, Barebells Functional Foods, Mingus Mountain Real Estate, Cleats: Half & Half Creation, and more. These organizations work with us to provide their services and value to our players! Some of these sponsors even opt to represent a team for a season by paying for their players’ customized jerseys and registration fees! In addition, we take time to highlight and support the small Arizona businesses operated by our very own players! If you're interested in becoming a sponsor, please reach out to info@pmclubsports.com!

What if I do not have a team?

We have your back! We welcome free agents to all of our leagues. Register as a 'Free Agent', and we will place you on a team for the season. We will also introduce you to your captain so you can build and maintain your own communicative relationship from the start. Free agents get the chance to meet new people, learn new skills, and have a legitimate shot at winning the cash prize!

What are the rules?

We post the latest rulebook for each Arizona sport on our site under the “League Rulebooks” section. We also hold a rulebook meeting at the start of each season of each league to ensure fun and fair play for our players.

Is there medical coverage?

No, PMC does not provide coverage for player participation. We require all players to sign our waiver form during registration. We ask players to familiarize themselves with the terms of our waiver form when they sign it.

I have more questions, who can I contact?

We encourage everyone to reach out with any questions. Please email info@pmclubsports.com if you have a question that is not listed in our FAQ section.

What is the Veteran Rule?

PMC embodies consistency, adaptability, and parity when it comes to building competitive rosters every season. Doing so builds the talent, the sport, and most importantly the community. After the end of each season, the championship team can retain only half of its previous roster (captain included) during transition into the following season. The number of returning players varies per sport. Of course, all players will have a spot on a team, and all rosters will be filled! We require so because we encourage competition and balanced team skill across the entire league while eliminating the concept of “super teams”. Our league is not designed for one dominant team to continually reign but rather to continually grow players and the sport. Our league is designed to welcome and improve all players by putting them in versatile positions that require them to work together, grow, and succeed on the field.

How is the Game officiated?

For co-ed kickball, PMC relies on players to self-officiate. For women’s and high school girls flag football, we pay credible officials to manage the game clock, play clock, down sets, and penalties.

Is there an age limit or minimum?

Yes, players must be 18 years of age or older for most PMC sports. If under the age of 18, parental consent is required. For girls’ high school football, only female freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors are eligible to play.

How do I as a Free Agent get placed on a team?

On the weekend prior to week 1 of the regular season, all teams that have open slots are required to use those slots to welcome free agents. Any team that is already maxed out on slots will not receive any free agents. Free agents that register before the window closes should earn priority on slots over team players that register after the window closes.

What is a draft league model? What is a regular league model?

In a regular league model, a captain or team manager registers a team for the league and then actively seeks out individual players to join their team. The captain may personally know and invite players to join. Ultimately, the captain has control over the selection process.
In a draft league model, everyone who wishes to participate in the league is placed into a pool of free agents, and captains take turns selecting players from this pool through a draft process. This method aims to distribute talent more evenly across the teams. The key difference between these two leagues lies in how players are assembled onto teams. In a regular league model, the captain has the power to directly recruit and build their team. In a draft model, player allocation is determined through a collective and structured drafting process.

Wait, All-Star game? What is that?

Yes, we have an All-Star game! Each season, all players are encouraged to vote for two male players and two female players from each team. The top-14 voted male players and top-12 voted female players for co-ed kickball earn a spot in the game! The top-16 voted players for women’s flag football earn a spot in their game! The winning team from each All-Star game wins All-Star Champions shirts!

How are playoffs scheduled?

Our playoffs are laid out over a two-week period. All playoff games except for the championship game are played in the first week. For the second week, the championship game takes place with the all-star game to follow after. Playoffs for all our sports are single elimination.

Is there a team fee that is a cheaper cost during registration?

There is no team fee discount for registration for our co-ed kickball and women’s flag football leagues. There is a team fee discount for our high school girls flag football league. Message info@pmclubsports.com to learn more.

When does registration close for each season?

Registration (all sports) each season closes on the weekend before the season starts (before Week 1).

Can I join a team after the registration window closes?

No, we do not allow players to join rosters after the registration deadline closes. We encourage impacted players to periodically check our “Upcoming Leagues” page and social media channel to be ready to register for the following season (when announced).

How many teams make playoffs?

For our sports, the playoff bracket is determined by how many teams are registered for the season. Playoff brackets are released after regular season standings are finalized.

Our co-ed Tempe kickball league is currently held at Tempe Sports Complex and Benedict Sports Complex. Our co-ed Glendale kickball league is currently held at Thunderbird Paseo Park.
